Yes, I know this is an "About Chris" page and we'll get to that in a moment.

But, right now I want you to know that you're in the right place. This page is really about how I can help you.

Put simply, I am here to help you get your marriage back on track.

I'm guessing  you've landed here because you've been frustrated in your marriage lately. You're just not connecting like you used to.

Oh sure the marriage is functional. You've probably mastered the art of juggling crazy schedules and ignoring the things that annoy you. But can you remember the last time you just relaxed and enjoyed each other's company?

When was the last time you had fun together and felt like the best friends you used to be?

Maybe you're tired of having the same arguments day in and day out and triggering those exhausting hostile reactions.

Or maybe things have escalated and you're at a real crisis in your marriage, and you don't know where to turn.

I'd like to help you change that.

My name is Christine Wilke, and I teach busy professionals how simple it can be to build a supportive, passionate marriage -  one loving step at a time.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and received my Ed.S degree many moons ago from Seton Hall University. It was a wonderful program with cutting-edge techniques and research in the field. Several years ago I became a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist.

Now you may never have heard of Imago and that's okay. But let me tell you... it's one of the most powerful ways I've ever seen of helping couples improve their relationship through valuable tools and communication techniques.

Personal challenges in my own marriage

But, what really got me interested in Imago was quite personal. My husband and I had been going through a rough time in our own marriage.

Some people  think marriage counselors are immune to marital conflict and should know better. But the stresses and strains of life affect all of us and can damage any relationship.

During this rough time our kids were younger and we were each focusing on our careers while trying to raise a family. There was so much going on - the kid's sports schedules, school projects, business meetings and on and on.

Like many couples we were in a whirlwind of "to-do's" in our lives and it began to overwhelm our relationship.

We weren't making our marriage a priority and the signs of neglect became too hard to ignore. We were beginning to feel more like roommates than the loving partners we once were.

Can you relate?

Then we discovered Imago International. The skills we learned have transformed the way we work through conflict. Our communication has  improved because we listen to each other with more love and respect. We now experience a solid, supportive connection.

Sure we still disagree at times, but we spend less time arguing and more time really enjoying each other and having fun together.

For the record, my husband and I will be celebrating our 30 year anniversary next year, so I can tell you this has made a tremendous difference in our relationship.

After this amazing experience, I wanted to bring these skills to couples in a uniquely powerful way.

I've painfully watched close friends and family struggle in their marriages. I've seen the devastation this has had on their children, their health, and their community. Some have gone through very painful divorces because they didn't have the skills to communicate effectively with the love of their life.

And it's tragic because it doesn't have to be this way.

Having a strong, passionate marriage isn't as complicated as you think when you learn how to build a supportive relationship one loving step at a time.

I've combined my decades of education, training, and experience and my entire heart and soul to create something that goes beyond counseling sessions.

You don't want to be in counseling forever

When couples first come in to see me I often hear them say, " We tried marriage counseling before and it worked for awhile, but now we're feeling more disconnected than ever."  They worry they'll be in counseling forever.

I took those concerns to heart and developed my "Love Your Marriage Couples Program."

It's a step-by step system that helps couples build the passionate and supportive marriage they really want to have.

It's so much more than counseling. This unique program gives you support that goes far beyond a counseling session.

It may be the answer you've been looking for and it would be my pleasure to speak with you privately so I can share more and learn more about you.
